What to blog, huh?

When I registered Blogger... well it was to blog!
So much excitement on wanting to put words and pictures here. Yeah, it was fun for a short period of 1 week. I get bored easily, that's my problem.

Went back to Facebooking, created some groups just so that I can keep specific posts for own consumption. Somehow people requested to be added in. All my groups are public. They must want something from there.

Anyway... this is gonna be a short write-up. Will try to get lazy self to blog more.
Still thinking of WHAT to blog about. Mmmmm... maybe I should blog about nothing! Let me think.

Summer is really summery hot!

It's soooooo..... hot!
32deg C and this was what we had....

Vanilla ice-cream with bananas, sprinkled with Milo.

You just have to try it. So so good and yummy!!!

By the way... had special request to bake another Banana Kaya Cake.

 
Guess this will be the last as my homemade Kaya is finished. Will think of making more Kaya in the next couple of weeks.
Why think?

Eeerrrrr.... Ingredients are easy but to stand over a stove and non stop stirring for 1hr and 40mins, that's a lot to think about. Gas aint cheap in Australia lah...!

Kaya is Coconut Jam.
My next project is to bake basic bread... Once that's done, I'm going for Butterscotch Bread, Pineapple Bread and Mango Bread!

Was bored on the 10th of Feb.... made Char Sui Bao.

And I made it without using yeast.
Yummy...!

Yesterday, i made Rawa Thosai with dhall curry.
Rawa Thosai... ready packet and just add water. Alagapal's brand. As for the dhall curry, I made from scratch. Easy peasy!!!

"Mommy... make the thosai from scratch too!"
mmmm... I'll just go buy the normal thosai ready packet.


Today.................

Cooked Thai Fried Bee Hoon with Pad Thai paste. Nice, but I still need to add some salt, chicken stock, a few drops of lemon juice to give it a kick!

There we go..... "Mommy, I give you 2 thumbs up!!!"

Last but not least.... for dessert it was Vanilla ice-cream sprinkle with Milo. It's so delicious and I'm out of bananas!

Year Of The Snake, 2013

Almost a year and posted nothing..... till now.

Lazy and unproductive.... making excuses for self not to blog here. Anyway, must try to blog as much as I can from now onwards! heheheee....
First thing first... how about some recipes?

Banana Kaya Cake

1 1/2 cup of self raising flour
1/2 tsp of baking powder
2 bananas - mash
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup kaya
1/2 cup oil or butter
2 pinches of cinnamon powder
3-4 eggs

Bake at 150deg C for 1hr 10mins. Or an extra 10 mins...

What is Kaya?
Kaya is coconut jam.

3 hours later.... finished!

My unproductive day...

I must seriously blog... When I 1st started it, told myself to do it. At least every other day and eventually, everyday!
It doesn't seem to be happening. I really need to sort out my time and laziness....

But I do read other people's blog and its very entertaining and informative. I do have lots to write and show. Pictures to upload.... Somehow there's *brain block! Come on.... you can do it!

Tonight's dinner is stir fry veges and chicken teryaki grill... I want to do one more. Fish ball curry.

Now that I'm more or less set in place here..... I'm starting to miss home, Malaysia!

Arrived on the 24th Jan 2012. Lovely weather.... Though I was tired, I managed to unpack, clean and *killed many spiders. And they are huge... !
Later we went to Coles to stock up our fridge and cupboards. That night we had to sleep on the floor with a 1 half inch mat. Whatever and whoever I try to count, still couldn't sleep...

That's it! We bought mattresses, microwave oven, big TV and a vaccum. All at Little Nicks and reasonably priced. After that we drove to Epping Plaza. I finally got my knives so as to start cooking....

First proper cooked food was.... "fried rice" la...........
I am the only one that can cook for family. Here! So... they gotta eat what I dish out. heheheheeee.....

Next day followed by Chicken Curry and so forth....
Back home, I hardly cook due to work and laziness. But, I still feed my family! Food is ample, cheap and till the wee hours of mornings. Yummy too!

Oh yes... I am here becoz my girl is studying, here. My hubby left for home after more than a week. He gotta make the *dough yah!
School's good and she has adjusted. She finds that her lessons are easy peasy to grasp. Except for Biology. Have told my eldest girl back home to send some text books over.

Sighhhhhhhhhhhh..... missing family*
Gotta go. Tonite's dinner is Sardin Curry, Omlette and Veges.

A year gone by...

Wow! It's been more than a year since I last blog...
But then again.. I'm on FB all the time! Naughty me...! And I need a holiday. I wanna retire "now".
Sleep in, eat whenever, do whatever, travel wherever, etc.., etc......

Well, that ain't gonna happen for the next 7-8 years. I still have my Lishalini. She's not independant coz of me. I practically do everything for her. She's turning 11yrs old this Dec 19th 2010.

Yeah, another boring story of someone's life. Mine...!!!

Ever since I sold off my costume business, I've been "lost". Don't know what to do, restless, hanging on the computer only, planning how not to get so like today..........................., etc.

Reading news & blogs & getting depresse with what's happening in Malaysia.......
Must plan to leave this country lah...!!! Cannot tahan.

This is gonna be the most shortest boring blog for today.

Just plain "crazy"....!!!

This morning's new was just sooo..... heart breaking.

A 5 year old boy abused by his mother.....! Started the abuse when he was about almost 3 years old. Body fully covered with scars & on top of that, new scars...!
Mother is a piano teacher.
Relatives saw the scars, suspected something yet did NOT make a report or do something about it............!!!!

Are these people "STUPID" or what.............????
You see marks or scars on a child which is "NOT" suppose to be there at all, you & we really, really have to do something .........!!!

His teeth were even "knocked" off & bruises on the lips...! There were injuries on his head too.......! See 'The Star' paper front page.

Now I feel like "shit"....! (Sorry. Very upset & angry)

Only 5 years old. Only filled up half of our pair of hands....!!!
What & how has he been feeling going thru all those years of abuse......, God only knows.....!!!!!

I think these so-called relatives ought to "shot" lah.................!!!
Haiyeeerrrrrrrrrr...........................! So angry, angry, angry...................................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And here I love my children & my grandson to "bits & pieces" & think of them every single day.
Though my 'son' has left me, I still think of those 3 and half years we were together. The good, the bad times...... I still "cherish" it.

Yes..! We scold & spank them. (Hardly...!)
But you don't go "knocking" them around till like that poor boy............!!!!!!!!

I think the mother also has a "mental" problem. NO mother or father will "abuse" their own child unless there's "something wrong" with their heads.................

Yeah....! The mother need "assesment"....!
But to raise you "heavy" hands & abuse the child to "glory" is "NOT" an excuse.

Yup...! "NOT an excuse..............!!!"

OK...! She's a piano teacher. To be a teacher you must have paticence coz you are "dealing" with humans that comes with all....... sorts of attitude...........!!!
How is it that she can't tolerate her own child...???

My heart goes out to that boy.........................

Maybe there are other children still being abuse which we don't know about......!
The law on "Child Abusers" are very light.

It must be changed............!!!! Too long already..............

05th May 2009...........

My son, Avind Kumar would have been 14yrs of age. But....., he had decided to leave me on 6th Oct. 1998 at 3yrs 6mths old.
Had not even started enjoying what life is all about..!
I, myself had not had enough of him yet & I do miss him soooo.............. much. Each night before bed time he always tells me "I love you, mommy...!"

You see...! That's why I don't want to blog about my son. Sooo..................... difficult to keep my emotions. But my eldest daughter, Bee said I should blog..!
Keeping it all these years & now I blog about my son gives me some sense of relieve.
Some only...............!!!

Will try to continue tomorrow.........................

My eldest Debbie, is comming to 28yrs this July 17th '09.
